Pitch & Pulse is provided by Bitter Softworks. This policy describes the offline Android app and this support website.

Microphone and audio

The tuner uses the microphone while you choose to listen in the app. Sound is analyzed on your device. Pitch & Pulse does not record or upload microphone audio. Microphone listening stops when you leave the app.

Local practice data

Your saved rhythms, settings and practice history are stored on your device. The app does not require an account. You can clear practice history in the app and remove all local data through Android app settings or by uninstalling.

Backups you choose

Export creates a file containing your saved rhythms and practice history in a location you select through Android's document picker. If you choose a cloud provider, that provider handles the file under its own terms. Import reads the backup file you select. Back up your data before uninstalling or changing phones.

Age range sharing (from version 1.0.1)

Google Play may share an age range according to your or your parent's settings and regional requirements. Pitch & Pulse uses it only on your device to provide an extra privacy reminder before exporting practice data when the range includes someone under 18 or is unknown. Only a temporary age-band decision is kept in app memory. The app does not ask for your birth date or identity documents, does not read the install ID, and does not save, log, export or send age information to Bitter Softworks, Firebase or other parties. The extra reminder remains on when age sharing is declined or unavailable; tuning and metronome features still work. Google Play runs its own age verification and sharing processes. Analytics and advertising

This version of the Android app has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK. It does not send microphone audio, practice records, settings or device identifiers to Bitter Softworks or Firebase.

This website and support requests

This website does not include analytics scripts or advertising. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, use it to handle your request, and retain the correspondence only as needed for that request and applicable obligations. Do not include recordings or other private information unless needed for your request.

Purchases

Google Play processes the app purchase. The app does not receive your card details. Google Play's terms and refund policies apply.
